You might be asking yourself WHAT DO I NEED BEFORE I BRING HOME MY NEW FRENCHTON PUPPY?
We have added some things to consider so, that you don’t forget to think about or would like to better prepare for the new family pet to arrive.
Puppy food (sample will be provided)
Feeding & watering dishes
New puppy area (puppy pads) etc.
Kennel or crate for transportation/ sleeping
Potty training for Frenchtons
Frenchtons chew toys and puppy brain toys
Favorite Frenchton squeaky toys
Travel bag for your new puppy
Puppy restraints (collar or adjustable harness, leash)
Natural ointments for cracked noses, tear staining
Nail trimming and bathing
Some of the best toys- maybe a food stimulated toy to prevent boredom.
A tip for grooming your Fenchton.
You will find their tears tend to stain easy on lighter colored Frenchtons pretty quickly. This is where Wrinkle Paste comes in. Another ailment for this breed is a dry nose. This is super easy to combat via a quality nose balm such as Snout Soother. We swear by a good nose balm. Keeping happy ears on a French Bulldog requires regular cleaning. A nice quick cool refreshing way is with Pet MD Dog Ear Cleaner Wipes. These things keep your pup’s ears clean and refreshed.
Last for right now but certainly not least, a quality shampoo! Frenchtons tend to be an itchy breed come seasonal allergy time. Sure it has a lot to do with what they eat, but what I have found with ours is they are so low to the ground come spring/summer when all the things are blooming they come into contact with all sorts of itch-inducing plants on the ground. This is where a good anti-itch shampoo comes into play.
